Welcome to CASUALTIES UNION
Casualties Union is an independent voluntary organisation dependant on funds, which exists to provide casualties and patients for those who teach first
aid, nursing and rescue. The Union does not teach first aid.
It was founded by Eric C. Claxton, OBE, O.St.J, BSc, F.I.C.E at Leatherhead in November, 1942, at the Surrey County Civil Defence Rescue School, where
realism earned it the name "Battle School for Civil Defence".
The Union depends for its funds on the financial support given by its members, friends and organisations that use its services.
Funds are spent on
training, dissemination of information and research into casualty simulation techniques.
Donations, both large and small, are most welcome.
